What are tempe chips?

Crispy, protein-rich chips made from hand-crafted Indonesian tempeh (locally called tempe). Tempe is made of whole soybeans that are naturally fermented into a firm cake. We slice it paper-thin, flash-fry it, and lightly salt it. The chips are crisp and deliver 2x the protein of regular potato chips.

How to best enjoy tempe chips

We typically snack on them straight, but you can level them up with a dip- salsa, sambal, or hummus. Crumble a handful over a salad for extra crunch!

Why we’re doing this

We want to bring tempe chips to the US 🇺🇸! Tempe chips are everywhere in Indonesia, but we need to know how to flavor fits the US palates.
